What to do and where to go for NEW YEARS '08/'09 IN BKK

Hi All,

Any suggestions where the best places to be during this time? I have heard that dinner and drinks at one of the rooftop hotels is nice (but expensive). Any suggestions?!?!?

As I suggest to all who ask this question.

The best place IMHO is in front of Central World Plaza.

Huge party with the road closed and cheap as can be.

Best place for countdown and huge TV to watch as well.

I plan to be at Central World too, but please keep in mind that it will be something like NYC Times Square on new year%26#39;s eve, but more hot and humid. If you are looking for something less crowded then do the rooftop dinner :-)

The vibe was and will probably be good again. As long as you don%26#39;t mind the crowd, it is the place to be. Also on New Years, the BTS/MRT (tube) usually keeps running %26#39;til early in the morning instead of stopping at midnight as usual.

What is the Banyon Tree like for New Years? I have heard the rooftop restaurant is amazing. what can i expect to pay at this time?

Any other suggestions for ';rooftop'; or amazing view dinners/drinks at this time of year???
