Westin Grand Sukhumvit to Chatuchak Weekend Market

I know that I can catch both the BTS from the Asoke BTS station in front of the Westin and the MRT (interchange at Sukhumvit BTS Station) to JJ. But which has a station nearer to JJ and which has shorter travel time?

Thanks,

Mel

Pretty much the same because the JJ station is also an interchange for both the BTS and the MRT.

I%26#39;d recommend the MRT. The MRT station is right in the market while you%26#39;ll have to walk a bit from either of the BTS stations. The MRT and BTS stations are right by your hotel. Note that the MRT station for the market is not the Chatachuk Park station. It%26#39;s the one past that I think. Ticket seller in the station can help you out if you need it.

That would be the Kamphaengphet station.

If you are a foodie, head out early and stop by Aw Taw Kaw market before going to JJ. It%26#39;s at the same MRT station, different exit (#3).

Have a hearty bowl of ba mee from the Ba mee lady. It will be just the think to start your day!

Hi Curt1951,

Food always excites me! If I plan to eat at the JJ and you had suggested Aw Taw Kaw - Are there a lot of food being sold at Aw Taw Kaw aside from the Bah Mee? It is just that there will be 4 of us and I am sure everyone wants different things.

Also, you mentioned the Aw Taw Kaw being on a different exit from the exit to the JJ... Does that mean we should get out at exit 3 to go to Aw Taw Kaw then go to the JJ via the MRT station again?
