Just some friendly advice ..... To anyone joining Diamond Princess on one of their ASIA cruises departing 10/06,10/22,11.07/08. The fixed hotel post-cruise package stays at the Shangri-La Hotel in BANGKOK. My wife %26amp; I were looking forward to our stay there to celebrate our anniversary/birthday until we discovered they have building works ongoing. We looked at the website / sent e mails to the hotel who confirmed same. Despite our repeated request%26#39;s to PRINCESS to move us to another hotel / place us in the KRUNGTHEP WING (it would appear this part of the hotel is unaffected but of course is more expensive !) they have REFUSED. Funny thing .... Princess say how great their services are but don%26#39;t match it with positive action !
We%26#39;ll have to make the best of it but we%26#39;ll now downgrade PRINCESS to our JUNK BOX.

Shangri-La Hotel / Princess Cruises
Thank God we packaged our own stay in Bangkok, we were looking at the Shangri-La Bangkok as we are staying in the Shangri-La, Sydney, our cruise isn%26#39;t until November 23rd Bangkok to Sydney.
Anyway I hope the ship and itinery make up for the Hotel. Have a great trip!
