Weather 10th to end of October?

Hi,

I am going to Koh Samui from the 10th to the 25th of October. I am just wondering if anyone has ever been there before at that time of year. When people say it rains or there are thunderstoms are they talking about all day ones, or do they just last a couple of hours in Thailnd.

I am very grateful for any info, as I am getting abit worried!!

Weather 10th to end of October?

At the moment the weather is beautiful and looks set to continue into next week.The only worrying thing on the horizon is that the winds are due to shift around to the east during the next week.The monsoon wind that can affect Samui at this time of year comes out of the north-east so we may be seeing the start of that.But as Jamie and his crystal ball will tell you it is anybodies guess.Last year at this time we had quite a lot of rain culminating in flooding in the main tourist areas.
