I was planning on staying at the Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok, that is until I read the reviews on

TripAdvisor. I am looking for hotel recommendations in that general area.

Yes the Ambassador is in need of some TLC IMHO.

Stayed there once and was mast displeased with everything to do with the hotel except the pub tho that was expensive.

Don%26#39;t know your budget but Amari Boulevard Hotel gets good reviews, located on Soi 5.

All are within walking distance to the skytrain, restaurants and convenience stores.
