Is it safe to go to Thailand alone?

Or is it safe at all to go to Thailand now.

I have been hearing reports of martial law, rioting in the streets etc. and I am a little concerned about one%26#39;s personal safety when traveling.

Are there areas that should be avoided?

only the southernmmost province%26#39;s are un safe few if any tourist area%26#39;s there.

the major fear is that you will like thailand so much you won%26#39;t want to leave

I feel more safe in Thailand than I do here in USA.

there are polictical problems there, but no worse than here.
