beach front apartments bo phut

Hi,

has anyone stayed at the ';Beach Front Apartments'; in Bo Phut?

They are posted on Sawadee.com but I can%26#39;t figure out how many rooms and beds are in the apartments and if the apartments have basic kitchen facilities (fridge, kettle, hot plate etc.).....

We are family with two small children looking to spend 17 nights on Samui. We like the Bo Phut atmosphere and will try to find accomodation in a two-room unit. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi we are also a family with children and although I dont know these apartments, we are booked into B1 in Bophut with 2 bedrooms. I also looked at Peace resort and Smile House which have 2 bedrooms too. Hope this is helpful. B

I think there is about 8? Its hard to tell,it looks like 8 apartments from the road, the sign on the front from memmory said some with and some without balconies.

They lease them out by the month also,so there will be a few people living there.

Great pub /resturant directley opposite ';The Admiral Nelson'; I think its called, they do a good breakfast.

The price on Sawadee is quite cheap for these apartments although it is very very close to the old rickety pier with tourists from Chewang gathering around really early in the mornings for dive and snorkeling trips that leave from quite a big boat alongside the apartments around 7-8am

look at ';You Tube'; and type in ';Bophut'; last time I looked there was two short home movies of the inside of them.

I loved the Bophut fishermans village and was there for 3 nights and although I could have stayed longer 17 nights may be a bit too long, the beach isnt that great and the shallow water a bit silty and slimy,so much so that nobody swims around that area,I did once but came out with stains on my swimmers from the mud.

Beachfront Apartments are all small studios.

i see the inside of beachfront apts on a regular basis for business reasons, while i do like the place and the location i am not sure that i would recommend it for a family with small children.

there is only one large room on the main floor, the rest are on the upper floors which means a lot of stair climbing. the rooms are all open plan so you wouldnt have any privacy either.

having said that, they are nice rooms with a refrigerator, cable tv and free wireless internet and it is in a great location with all rooms looking out over koh phangan but they are ideally suited for younger travellers or middle age with no kids, imho.

Do you have any knowledge or info on the Cactus beachfront bungalow in Bo Phut? Can%26#39;t seem to get much feedback on these.

sorry, your post was the first i%26#39;ve ever heard of Cactus.

Cactus is next door to Free House Bungalows, near Palm Beach resort, Cactus is a nice simple resort, good restaurant, good value for the money.

Id recommend you stay at SAVE HOUSE BUNGALOWS in Maenem which is just up the road. Great resport - you can get a 2 b/r bungalow.
