help Pucket to Khao Lak then Krabi opions please

going for approx 10 days flying from Bangkok to Pucket (thats the plan) stay for 4 days then get a taxie to Khao Lak for 3 days then a taxie to Krabi for 3 das (then fly from Krabi to Bangkok)

will this be too much travelling ???

anybody recommed 3 or 2 destinations

Ideas on length of travel between destinations

Flight from Bankok to Phuket is about 1 hour 15 minutes. Taxi to Khao Lak depending which resort/area you are staying at) is about the same and costs about 1500 baht (maybe a bit more now with petrol increases). Taxi to Krabi takes about 3 hours and costs about 2500 baht. Flight Krabi to Bangkok about 1 hour 30 minutes. It is a fair amount of travelling but you are not losing too much time getting to and from destinations.

2 or 3 destinations? Hard call. I%26#39;d prefer just 2 and they would be Khao Lak and Krabi but that%26#39;s just me.

To be honest, I don%26#39;t think you will really get the benefit out of places with such short stopovers. I would split into two destinations and agree with Arandora, I would choose Khao Lak and Krabi but as you have children, maybe Phuket would be better option, more to do for them.

This is a difficult one to answer.I do not think it too much travelling and it can be done. Khao Lak depending on where your chosen hotel will be is approx 1hour 15 mins from the airport but if you are staying in Patong or Kata area add another 30 to 40 minutes.From Khao Lak to Krabi it would be approx 2 hours travelling.

I agree with Arandora and Sarah that you would see the places but not have a great deal of time in the resorts. I am a great fan of Khao Lak, Krabi, and Phuket.

If i only had a choice of two places it would be Krabi and Khao Lak. I find Phuket is the best place for shopping as some people come to Phuket for that.Khao Lak i think has the best beaches, and Krabi has some dramatic and beautifull scenery.
