Where to change thai baht in Phuket?

Yes, they are safe enough. (i always like to hide my money from the general public though, you never know who%26#39;s watching you. It%26#39;s just good street sense ya know)

If you go to a bank, it takes a long time and they need to make copies of your passport and I don%26#39;t think you get a better rate anyway.

Lots of places in Patong.

Banks are the safest bet. Changing cash should not need any passport copies, it may happen if you draw cash on a plastic card, or change travellers cheques.

Hi there,

We used the money exhanges on the side of the road and they were completely safe. Just look at who%26#39;s offering the best rate and go with them and best of all there%26#39;s no exchange fee.

As Smitia replied, there are currency exchange kiosks all over Patong.. They%26#39;re out in the open, but are relatively safe. Just keep an eye out on

the people around you, and don%26#39;t flash your money..

Slowrunr

There is a great one at Otop Markets at the front opposite Holiday Inn and Marriott Hotel

thanks so much! glad thailand%26#39;s not a place where we have to worry too much abt counterfeits. I know some places are generally not safe to change via the street money changers...
