Burasari Patong Resort - Feedback vs Novotel Resort

Hi, would like to know what are the better rooms to have as I heard some have been upgraded. Also do they do a buffet breakfast (have 2 boys who eat alot). Does the pool area get sun - as many pictures show that it is mainly shaded by the trees/resort.

Any feedback by people who have stayed would be great !! We stayed this year at Novotel and not sure whether to try somewhere different.

Burasari Patong Resort - Feedback vs Novotel Resort

We tayed at Burasari in June this year. We stayed in one of the older pool access rooms. We found that they were the best position on the larger pool. They did smell a bit damp and musty to start with but we soon got used to the smell and it didn%26#39;t bother us. The pool in the newer wing is very shallow and narrow. The larger pool was in shade most of the day and that was the only drawback as it wasn%26#39;t overly warm. It would depend on what time of year you were visiting as I would think it would be a plus in the really hot and dry season. Buffet breakfast was included and was more than adequate and I am sure your boys would get enough to eat. Depending on the age of the boys, they might not have that musch fun - no activities for children and actually there were very few children. Depending on what you want from the holiday this could be a plus or a minus - quieter, but not much opporunity for them to go off and make friends to occupy them. We also found there were a lot of mosquitos at the resort. We really enjoyed our stay but we are in our 50%26#39;s with no young children in our group.

Burasari Patong Resort - Feedback vs Novotel Resort

Hi, We are booked into the Novotel in november this year and were wondering what your experience of the hotel was. There are varying reports on the hotel and am starting to worry that we may have booked the wrong one.

Thanks,

Wendy

Hi 101holidaylover,

My husband and I are staying at the Burasari in 2 weeks, from what i have heard and read this is more a ';couples resort'; rather than a family resort. I think they only have 1 king/queen bed per room. You may be better staying at the Novotel, Patong Merlin or Holiday Inn are more suited to the children.

Spoke to a friend who said it was really not a family resort also. have to keep those boys occupied %26amp; happy !!

Thanks for the feedback.

Happy holidaying !!
