Is booking advisable in first week of Nov?

I%26#39;m planning to stay in Ao Nang during the first week in Nov with my girlfriend. The prices seem to double compared with the week before. I%26#39;m considering just turning up in hope of a better deal when I arrive. It this a good strategy?

Is it possible to stay on Railay and get a boat back from Ao Nang after dinner, at say 10pm? If so at what cost?

We were in Krabi last November (a week or two after you) and accommodation was plentiful with exception to the most popular places.

A lot of construction now going on so personally I would book (and negotiate) on arrival.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice! It is literally the first week of the season so it sounds like we should be ok turning up.

We%26#39;ve got 6 nights undecided before we go to Ko Lanta for 5 days. We%26#39;ve been going backwards and forwards trying to decide where to stay between Ao Nang, Railay and Phi Phi. Based on your experience what would you do with those 6 days?

We%26#39;d thought about staying 3 nights on either Ao Nang or Railay and then going to Phi Phi but we%26#39;ve really struggled to find accommodation that we like the look of in Phi Phi for our budget (around 2500bht per night).

Help!
