Just wondering what the beaches are like in Ao Nang? I know that you can take tons of day trips from Ao nang and it serves as a good base, but are there any good beaches within walking distance? Where in Krabi is the best place to stay? I%26#39;m looking for awesome beaches, decent restaurants and bars, and just a general mix of activities. Thanks!

As you have probably read the best beaches are at the offshore islands 25 minutes by longtail boat. Or catch a longtail to Railay to Phranang beach or west railay. If you want a good mix of decent restaurants and bars ect i would look at Ao nang in Krabi.
