can anyone recommend a clean central hotel which would accomodate a family of 4 in one room in bangkok.

Baiyoke Suites.

Older and in need of some refurbishing but its located in Pratunam. Its a suite with pantry, sitting room and bedroom. Definitely big enough for a family of 4.

And most important, its cheap.

I agree. Depends how fussy you are. We stayed here and it had heaps of room compared to other hotels. Location is great if you are into shopping....walk outside and you are surrounded by markets and shops galore.

Downside not near BTS but taxis and tuk tuks everywhere. Or a 10-15 minute walk to Chitlom BTS with heaps of shops/stalls along the way.

Highly recommend the Centre Point Silom - very close to Taksim Skytrain and the river so easy to get around Bangkok.

Have stayed several times and find the one bedroom to be just enormous. Studios are fine as well but not near the room that the one bedroom has. They all have kitchens and the one bedroom has an enormous living area where the children could sleep.Alternate to that you could have a studio that has two twins which really are two doubles or queens. The studio has a kitchen as well - all are very well appointed.

Centrepoint is above Robinson%26#39;s Department Store which has a basement supermarket - so able to buy supplies at ease.

Check out the reviews on Trip Adviser, it is right up there in popularity and just finishing renovations which are quite outstanding.

For a cheapie option check out the Indra Regent in Pratunam, family room, most likely connecting rooms or a junior suite, which is two rooms at the end of a corridor is only THB4500.Pratunam market outside your door and a shopping mall in the basement.Its a bit old but we enjoyed it, great omelettes included.

I%26#39;d like to recommend www.theinnsaladaeng.com It%26#39;s a new boutique hotel. The location is very good and safety.I think that there is the family room for 4 persons and the price is very cheap.It%26#39;s a lovely hotel.

Not exactly what you%26#39;re asking for, but we did two rooms at the Pullman and loved it. Everyone was great with our kids.

My family will be staying at Citadines 8 for my upcoming trip to bangkok. So far the reviews I read will good and they have promo rate :-) for a few of their properties.

I second the recommendation of Centre Point Silom - we%26#39;ve stayed there with 2 children in an one-bedroom apartment. Both children slept in the living room - one on a folding bed and the other child on the sofa. There was plenty of room.The location is very convenient. The breakfast is also good.
