Instructions and travelling time from Pattaya to Koh Chang.

Hi,

can someone please give some clear instructions on how to get to Koh Chang from Pattaya.

Ive been Googling it for an hour but I still dont have a solid plan.

I would like to know where to catch a bus/train/taxi/ferry from, how long the journey will take and how much I should be paying.

I%26#39;m pretty sure someone with more expert info will reply but thought i would give you some v,brief info from our trip in jan 06. We got a taxi from pattaya (cost%26#39;s about same as airport run) to the ferry at Trat and took just over an hour (I think, memory a bit slack) anyway it was a pleasant journey and the ferry was v cheap and took about 45min to Ko Chang. The ferrys runs back and forth all day so you won%26#39;t have a problem getting one. For the return to Bangkok we flew from Trat 50 mins and cost about 50 pounds sterling. Hope you enjoy, we did.

hi thomas , we (4) took a taxi from pattaya to koh chang in july 2008 and the cost was 4,000 baht about 40euro and the journey took about 4 hours , the taxi brings you for your ferry tickets about 60baht pp and drops you to the ferry , the ferry leaves on the hour and the trip is about 45mins hope this is a little helpful
