Hotel help needed please.

Hi guys%26#39;

I%26#39;d be grateful if you could offer some advice on a good hotel to stay for 6 days in October this year. I%26#39;m looking to visit islands and be able to get a real insight into Phuket and all must see places to make the most of the short time i have there. Any tips you can pass on would be appreciated.

Warm regards

Hotel help needed please.

Hi

there are so many hotels in the various areas on Phuket. It really all depends on what you are looking for. For example are you keen on the busy nightlife as in Patong or the more laid back areas? Also what are your requirements with regards to accommodation? Are you keen on basic to middle class or sheer luxury?

Regards from Phuket.

Hotel help needed please.

Thanks for your reply, I%26#39;m a female travelling on my own. Not interested in the night life. Would like a hotel where not to far from airport, good location to get from for excursions to visiting islands etc. I would like a little luxury but would also like to go for not rip off prices for massages and resturants that don%26#39;t cost the earth please.

Hope this is a little help to you. Never been to Phuket before want to make the most out of the time i have there.

Warm regards

Hi there,

Just a word of advice. If you stay near the airport it is going to cost you money everytime you want to go anywhere, even shopping. It is not really near anything!

You really are better off staying closer to Patong maybe at the Sunset beach Resort, 3 star or if you want more luxury, we stayed at the Blue Marine about 3-4 min in taxi from Patong Beach. After 5 trips, this is still our favourite place, apart from Luguna Beach resort which is about 20 min from Patong. This again costs more in taxi fares or tuk tuks.

If you are on your own you can%26#39;t even share costs, so take this into account.

Another place, although in the middle of Patong beach is the Burasari Resort. Quite small but beautiful with rooms that open onto swim up pool. Very nice, but good on your own as you can just wander out into the streets, but be close to home at the same time.

Too many choices!!! Good luck.

Another hint, try to organise your tours from outside the hotels. They charge too much!

We always use our own tour guide. His name is Mr sam. Read some posts on him. He is fantastic. Especially if travelling alone. He will organise everything for you....
