Tips while I'm in Ko Samet?

I%26#39;m looking for good budget accomodation on Ko Samet... I%26#39;d like to stay on Diamond beach and would like a clean room with air conditioning. Is this possible? I will be there over a weekend (second week in November) and I understand it can get quite crowded. Will I have to get a reservation? What price range is the budget accomodation? Any tips/info./thoughts? Thanks!
