Southern Islands

Hi All

The wife and I are off to Malaysia and Thailand in November.

We will be starting off in Langkawi for a few nights then intend to move onto Thailand.

We dont want to go as far up as Ko Lanta as we have already been there twice. I have an idea of some of the islands we would like to go to like Lipe, Sukorn, Mook etc, but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of places to stay and visit.

We like to stay in bungalow/chalet/beach hut type places that are near or on the beach, rather than your run of the mill hotels, preferably paying no more than 2000-2500baht.

Also how is the travelling between islands as a lot of the info I can find seem to only give directions from the mainland and not between the actual islands

In November the ferries will be running between the islands from Langkawi and you can island hop your way across.
