Computer Games - Nintendo DS

I am assuming you can purchase Nintendo DS games in Bangkok at department stores, if so, does anyone know if they play in Australian purchased Nintendo DS machines (the hand held one)

Any one know the rough price of the games ?

I believe I just purchased a chip for the DS and it was around 2000 THB, I may be slightly off but not more than a 1000 off. That was for 40 games that they somehow put on a chip. Some kind of mini SD card which you pop in a normal DS catridge type game and it plays in the US, sorry not sure about Australia. Purchased at MBK, I%26#39;m sure if you ask they will tell you, but I believe with the DS games there should be no problem.

MBK Center has many stalls selling the games.

Since the DS is a portable device, bring it along to test the games.

Hi

You can get a SD card (4gb holds about 100 games) and then download games for free of the internet and put them on your SD card.

A 4gb sd card with all bits costs 拢30 from Amazon and then you can get configure and can put games on there.

I believe that the DS has no regions! Hence a DS game from anywhere will work. But the SD card is much better vaule and I recommend purchaing from Australia.

Google or have a look on DS forums, I%26#39;m sure they can guide you (I rely on a friend to get me new games on my SD card).

Dear Elisa, there is no need to buy Nintendo games, wherever you are. The one and only investment to make is buying a Nintendo Super flashcard, a kind of holder for any Ds-card with micro-card. on a 2 GB micro-card you can place more then 50 games, free to download from the Internet. In Holland such a holder will cost you around 30 euro%26#39;s - exclusive the DS memorycard. These memorycards you can get everywhere in Thailand - Tesco Lotus - 2 GB - for around 200 Thaibaht. 6 GB is 1200 Thaibaht and on that card you can almost download all available Nintendo-games.

Before copying Nintendo-games to your memorycard, do%26#39;nt forget to first place FIRMware on this card, thats a kind of translator that will take care for

working out the games.

Kind regards and success - Ilona from Holland, living in Thailand

Hi Elisa,

try MBK - that is where i purchased Nintendo games for my son when we visited BKK this august.

MBK is located at BTS stop National Stadium.

an original nintendo game costs 1200 baht

i also bought a R4 card with 20 games for 1500 baht

we brought along the nintendo at the time of purchasing the game and R4 card. just to be sure that all the games worked and my son havent had any problems at all. all the games work perfectly.
