What do and where to go in Phuket

Hi All

What a fantastic site this is, we are going to phuket in Nov for 10 days, I would like to hear your suggestions on places to eat,( mainly western style restaurants) places to shop for bargains, watersport activities ( jet skis) recommended drivers, places to visit, cheap grog shops. We are staying at the Patong Merlin Hotel. All advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
